Liverpool’s Roscoe Recording Studios have teamed up with Youth Music to deliver a ground breaking music development programme The Roscoe Project-  for young people across Merseyside.

Over the next few months they will be working with 12 of the City’s most talented young bands to help record their material and network it to a wider audience within the music industry, culminating with a special live show this summer.

The Project has mainly been funded by Youth Music, the country's leading music charity for young people. Since 1999, they've reached over two million, both in and out of school giving them opportunity discover their creativity and potential through music making.

Peter Shilton of Roscoe Studios CIC said "It's a great opportunity for young bands in Liverpool.  In addition to free recording time in a professional city centre music studio it also gives key insights into how the music industry works and what is required to succeed."

Christine Spriggs of Youth Music adds "Youth Music provides children and young people with access to a wide range of music-making projects and activities. For many, being given the chance to experience the power of music has been life changing.  Our partnership with Roscoe Studios CIC is a great opportunity for some of the city's most talented young bands to really shine and continue on their musical journey."

The Project is looking for bands aged 16-18 who would like the opportunity to record, perform and work closely with music industry experts and auditions have already began this week...more details to follow!
